Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Be sure to let the jello cool before you add in the Vodka.
  • If you can’t find Sonic Ocean Water Jello you can use any blue-colored Jello. It will change the flavor a bit, but it will still taste delicious.
  • The great thing about jello shots is that you can make as many or as few as you would like. So adjust the recipe depending on how many people you are trying to serve.
  • You can place your gummy inside your shot if you would like. Just have your jello shot start to set up a bit and then add it in by pushing it down into the jello. The shot will continue to set around it.

Storage

Be sure to store these in the fridge. They are best to be eaten a day or two after making but will last for about one week.

Can I add more alcohol?

No, you do not want to add more alcohol because adding more alcohol will cause the shots to not be set properly.

Can I make kid-friendly Shark Jello Shots with no alcohol?

Yes! You can easily make this kid-friendly! Just omit the alcohol and substitute the vodka for water or even for Sprite or 7-up. Kids will love enjoying this fun treat!
