Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • If you prefer you can swap out the corn syrup for agave nectar.
  • Be sure you use real mint extract and not peppermint extract. This is one mistake many people will make.
  • If you prefer you can make this without green food coloring, of course it will no longer be green, but will still have all the mint flavor. Extra green food color can be added to make it an even brighter green color.

Storage

You will want to enjoy this right away. I don’t recommend storing it, as it will alter the taste and consistency. Thankfully, they are really easy to make.

How do you prevent your Oreo Shamrock McFlurry from melting quickly?

One of the secrets to keeping your McFlurry from melting quickly is to place your glass in the freezer for about 1 hour prior to making it. This allows the glass to stay cold and prevents your McFlurry from melting as quickly.
