What is Dump Cake?

Dump cake is not like a traditional cake where you mix everything in a bowl and then add it to a pan to bake. This cake lives true to its name, where you pretty much dump everything into the pan and then bake it.

It is one of the easiest and most delicious cakes to make!

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Want to try some other flavors? Mix it up by swapping out the flavor of the Oreos.
  • I prefer chocolate cake mix, but you can swap it out for another flavor if you would like.
  • For best results serve about 5 minutes after cooking for a gooey chocolate treat!

Storage

You will want to store your leftover cake in the fridge covered for up to 5 days.

Reheat

If you prefer to eat your leftovers warm you will want to place them in the oven to warm up at a very low temperature.

Do you eat dump cake hot or cold?

This cake can be eaten both warm and cold. We prefer eating it warm so it is really gooey, but cold is good as well, your Oreos just won’t be as gooey.

What can I serve with a Dump Cake?

It is the perfect dessert on its own, but you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and even pour a little bit of chocolate sauce on the top as well.
