Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you need an extra-filling smoothie or if you want a sweeter smoothie, you can add a frozen banana or a handful of frozen berries to make it naturally sweet!
- Any nut milk will work great when making this recipe. I use almond milk but cashew milk is delicious as well.
- For an extra special treat top it with some of your favorites like slices of strawberries, blueberries or even a bit of coconut.
- Be sure you add all your liquid ingredients first to your blender. This will help everything blend quickly and smoothly.
Storage
While this is best enjoyed right away, you can save it for later by storing it in the freezer.
What kind of blender do I need to make an Acai Smoothie?
You want to make sure that you have a high powered blender that can really mix up your smoothie well. A personal favorite of mine is always the Vitamix!
Should you use frozen fruit or fresh fruit?
When it comes to making a smoothie you can use either fresh or frozen fruit. I love using frozen fruit because it helps thicken the smoothie without adding ice.
