Peanut Butter Cookies with M&M’s
These Peanut Butter Cookies with M&Ms are one of the most delicious treats that you can make. They are soft and chewy and loaded with peanut butter and chocolate flavor. Once you try this it may just become your new favorite cookie recipe.
These peanut butter cookies with M&Ms are probably one of my favorite cookies out there for so many reasons. I love the soft peanut butter cookie combined with M&Ms. I can’t think of a better flavor combination. These cookies contain just the right amount of M&Ms so you are almost guaranteed a chocolatey treat in every single bite. Once you make these you will fall in love with how easy they are to make and the flavor in every single bite.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups peanut m&ms (I used pastel, spring colors. Regular ones can also be used)
How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies with M & Ms
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease or place parchment paper on two baking sheets.
- In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- With an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugars. Add egg and peanut butter and mix until fully combined. Add dry mixture, half at a time, mixing well between each addition.
- Stir in m&ms (it’s important not to use the electric mixture because you will break the m&ms).
- Scoop 2-3 tablespoon-sized spoonfuls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned on the edges.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Get creative with your M&Ms. You can use regular M&Ms or pick a color that coordinates with the season or the holiday. You can even use Peanut butter M&Ms.
- This recipe can be easily doubled.
- You will want to use smooth peanut butter. Do not use natural peanut butter as it will change the texture of our cookies.
- Once you scoop your cookies onto the tray feel free to add a few more M&Ms to the top.
Storage
You will want to store these peanut butter cookies with M&Ms at room temperature in an airtight container. This will last up to 5 days.
Can you freeze these cookies?
Baked Cookies: You will want to let these completely cool and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer Once frozen, place them in a freezer-safe bag. These will last 3 months in the freezer.
Freezing Cookie Dough: If you want to freeze the cookie dough, scoop the dough onto a cookie sheet that is lined with parchment paper and freeze. Once they are frozen, place them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
When you are ready to enjoy, thaw the desired amount of cookies on your baking sheet while the oven preheats.
