Frequently Asked Questions

What oil is best for frying?

Vegetable oil is best for all-purpose frying, so it is a safe option no matter what. Olive oil is good for pan frying, but it isn’t neutral, it’ll add flavor. Avocado oil is more heart-healthy but again, it will add flavor to your fried goat cheese. Overall, the best oil to use is vegetable oil as it contains fewer common allergens and won’t really impact the flavor of your dish.

Does goat cheese melt when heated?

Goat cheese, unlike traditional cheese, doesn’t melt when exposed to heat. Instead, it softens and becomes gooey and stretchy. As a result, you are left with a delicious, gooey ball of cheese that is coated in a savory crust.
